Hi, I'm Verne, the creator of Watch Studies. I create photography tutorials for people who love watches!
Watch collecting and photography are unbreakably linked by one thing: stories. From the pieces rooted in our past to the ones we long for in our future, each watch enthusiast's journey is filled with stories worth telling. Similarly, photography is one of the most powerful visual mediums we have and is fueled by our creative spirit to capture and recount moments in time. The intersection of these two passions is where Watch Studies lives.
Through in-depth tutorials, professional tools, and other forms of original content, Watch Studies aims to support the community of watch lovers who live to tell meaningful stories about the things they love through photography.

About Verne
I'm a seasoned designer and photographer who has committed his career to helping independent brands and creators thrive. Before starting Watch Studies, I spent the last 7 years as the Director of Design at Shopify, focused on creating products that helped level the playing field for small businesses and entrepreneurs alike. Prior to that, I co-founded one of Toronto's leading product design studios, which was acquired by Shopify in 2013. Along the way, I've launched a few other things too.
