Black Leather Desk Mat by ULX

The real unsung hero in my watch photography is this black leather desk mat. It's quietly appeared in at least 80% of my shots while contributing just the right amount of soft, matte, and grainy texture on a beautifully blacked out surface.

Don't be fooled, it's an actual desk mat. In fact, I used it for many years as just a desk mat before it started making appearances in my work. For both purposes, it works wonders, which is exactly what I look for in many of my props (function and form!). That said, if you're just looking for some leather to style your shots with, there are  probably cheaper options available. But if you want a stellar desk mat that also works as a photo surface, you can't go wrong with this one by ULX.
